New Delhi: Transgender activist Apsara Reddy has been inducted as the National General Secretary of the Congress Women's Front. Congress President Rahul Gandhi tweeted the photo and announced it.

Apsara Reddy was given the charge of the post of Women's Congress President Sushma Dev. This is the first time that a transgender person is given a key responsibility in a political party. The 132-year history of Congress is appreciated on social media after taking this unique step.
